| San Francisco's Architecture: Mission Dolores (Français) | |
| The impressive basilica of Mission Dolores (built in 1913) belongs to the "Mission revival" architectural style, a style that was popular between 1890 and 1915, and that is characterized by the use of elements and materials similar to the first spanish missions in California. That style gives a particular look to the whole Mission district. The neighboring chapel, built in 1791, survived to the 1906 earthquake. | |
