San Francisco's Bridges (Français)
The famous Golden Gate bridge, that I rode by bike before my departure along the coast, as much as the San Francisco-Oakland Bay bridge are landmarks in the city's landscape. The Golden Gate bridge was inaugurated in 1937, and its color was chosen to be harmonious with the surrounding environment, while being easy to see through the fog. The Oakland Bay bridge was inaugurated in 1936.
